Jacob Rasmussen is a finance and accounting professional with a strong background in taxation, corporate accounting, and small business financial management. He earned his degree from Brigham Young University–Idaho in July 2020, where he developed a solid foundation in accounting principles and financial analysis.
Following graduation, Mr. Rasmussen worked for several years as a tax preparer, gaining extensive experience in individual and small business tax compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. He later transitioned into corporate accounting, where he further strengthened his expertise in financial operations, internal controls, and organizational accounting systems.
In early 2025, Mr. Rasmussen became a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and subsequently founded his own bookkeeping firm. Through this venture, he provides professional bookkeeping, accounting support, and financial advisory services to small businesses, helping them achieve financial clarity, compliance, and sustainable growth.
His combined experience in taxation, corporate accounting, and entrepreneurial finance brings valuable financial stewardship and governance insight to the Self Reliance Empowerment Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
